Your Portfolio by Mary Harvey The Mirriam-Webster Dictionary lists the word “portfolio” as meaning “a set of pictures (as drawings or photographs) either bound in book form, or loose in a folder”. Many artists have portfolios of their work - do you? If you don’t, you’re missing out on a great marketing opportunity. Think about it... If you wear your jewelry, how many times has someone asked you about it? Or maybe a coworker is interested in your creations. Do you have anything to show them besides your business card (which you should always carry)? A portfolio of your work can be as fancy or as simple as you want. Here are some ideas for starting a portfolio:
There are many other ways to create your portfolio. Since it’s impossible to carry around all of your jewelry all the time, it’s important to have a way to show off your creations, wherever you may be. A portfolio is the perfect way. And don’t forget those business cards! |
